My reason to binge-watch Friends

FRIENDS has been that source of happiness that never goes away.
It’s always there just a click away.
You don’t get bored even after re-watching it multiple times.
It’s served and been helpful in many ways.
It’s shown how a friendship should be and that true friends are even better than a family.
It’s shown how to love each other unconditionally.
It’s been a source that uplifts your mood.
It doubles your happiness and halves your sorrow.
It’s been a source of learning English for non-English speakers.
It’s been a source for your good marks (As various studies have found out that cheerful moods are more creative and gets you that star on your scorecard).

Every character on the show is relatable. And it couldn’t have been better if someone else had played respective roles other than the chosen cast members.
But one character without whom the show couldn’t be where it’s now is Chandler Bing.

His lines being iconic seem relevant in every phase of our lives. Without him I don’t think I would have gone to watch the show again and again.

He has been that cherry on the cake even better than that if such metaphor exists.

From being someone who had a traumatic childhood, got into chain smoking, dealt with addiction, never knew that he could be loved, never got to know the value of friendship, love and family, and who used to get scared from such big valued words his life grew from scratch transforming him into Miss Chanandler Bong that we know and love.

It has never disturbed me to the extent that I ended up crying. But today it did.

Today when I woke up, I texted a friend Good morning which I don’t do often.
I was filled with such positive vibes that seldom knock me.
It was great until I found the most heartbreaking news that I could as a fan.

The most famous beloved Mathew Perry died at the age of 54. Yes, the one who gave the character It’s life. Chandler Bing can’t be imagined without him. Most of us don’t know Mathew Perry but we know Chandler.

The one who hasn’t watched Friends might not feel exactly what we are feeling as fans but even they can’t ignore the fact that we lost a gem. 54 is not an age to go.

Today, twitter (X) is filled up with his clips only and every one of them could be watched for hours reminding us of the good memories that he gave us as an actor.

It is said that artists go away but the characters that they play live forever. Mathew Perry will be remembered as Chandler Bing , forever by many generations to come because such a show can never happen again and such a character can never be reborn again without Mathew Perry.

If we don’t talk about Chandler but Mathew Perry, he will be known for his outstanding acting skills, sarcasm, his struggles to cope up with drug addiction and his reach that helped others to come out of where he was once.

He was a great gift to the world of sitcoms and the void that he left behind now can never be refilled. That void will always be there and that absence will be felt for many years to come.

Rest in Peace Mathew Perry because you deserve it.
